Father,
Your ways are not our ways, nor are your thoughts our thoughts. Your ways and thoughts are so much higher than ours. You see the end from the beginning, for you have no beginning or end. You have always been, are present now, and will always be. You see the big picture. You see how all things fit together. And yet, you see the smallest details in everything, including the smallest, most intimate parts of our lives. In addition to this, you are very good, and your ways and purposes are very good. You also love us very much, more than we even know. You are a great Giver. You give and give and give, expecting nothing in return, just hoping that we see and are thankful. For these reasons, we can trust you completely. You see and hear all things and you have our very best at heart. When things seem to go wrong, or not the way we expect, you are not surprised. You have already seen them, and you are working these things out for our good. We can rest in your omniscience, omnipotence, and love. We do not have to be frantic or anxious when things do not look like they are going well. You have all this in hand. And good hands they are. Thank you for who you are and what you do for us. We are our precious children, dearly loved by you. Help us to rest in your goodness and love and share your goodness and love with all whom our lives touch. For it is your great desire that we pass your love along to others. Amen.
